July 2017 #WrapUp

Another month has come to an end, I’m not sad to see July end because I have one more week of work then I’m off for six weeks. Six weeks of no work, no uni, nothing – o the books I’ll be able to read! This month I read a total of 17 books, not as epic as last month when I read 24 but still I exceeded my average of 14 so I’m happy. I also participated in the 24in48 readathon, and I was selected to be a Ninja Book Box Reader, so all in all, it was a very good month. So, let’s say goodbye to July in the most bookish way…

The Good:

The standout books of the month were: 

Here and Gone by Haylen Beck was a fast-paced, thrill ride that I loved from cover to cover and featured one of my favourite child characters – reviewed here.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch was incredible, it’s action packed and has one of the most intelligent plots I’ve come across – review coming on 2nd August.

The Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg was a lovely dose of Nordic Noir and I can’t wait to continue this series – review coming on 4th August.

The Woman in the Wood by Lesley Pearse was my first book by Pearse and certainly won’t be my last – reviewed here.
