February 2018: #WrapUp

I’ve read some good books this month but, man, am I happy to see the end of February. It was such a busy month for me and I had very limited reading time; so I’m happy that I still managed 7 books. 5 of the books were mentioned in my planned TBR, I think I’m finally getting the hang of this whole planned reads thing. I didn’t get to the books I was hoping to squeeze in or manage to read a non-fiction book but one has essays to write. Anyway, let’s take a look at all the bookish activity that took place on the blog this month.

January 2018: #WrapUp

How time flies! We’ve reached the end of January already, and what a busy month it’s been. I’ve had nowhere near as much free time as I’m used to but I read all 6 books listed in my January TBR, plus a few others, so I call that a successful reading month. February is going to be even more hectic for me so I doubt I’ll manage 12 books again, so I have to be super picky with what I chose to read next month. How has your first month of 2018 been?

I’ve has some real reading highs and lows this month, so let’s get to the books…

December 2017: #WrapUp

Can you believe the end of 2017 is in sight!?! I hope you’ve all had a good year, there’ll no doubt have been ups and downs, highs and lows, but I hope overall you’d consider it a good year. If not, forget 2017, we never liked it anyway, and get ready to embrace 2018!

Before we get to my December bookish activity, let’s address the elephant in the room…. Remember that 2017 Beat the Backlist challenge I committed to a year ago – the one where I planned to read 12 books from my TBR published in, or prior to, the 90’s, yeah that one. Well, I failed, epically! Only reading 2 of 12 (Perfume by Patrick Suskind & The Collector by John Fowles), I’m as devastated as you are about this, just where did the year go – but whatever, forget 2017, remember! The year may be ending, but this challenge is still on – to the 10 remaining books (picture below) – I’ll see you in 2018! Continue reading “December 2017: #WrapUp”

November 2017: #WrapUp

Tomorrow marks the start of the festive period so I’ll be putting up my Christmas tree and stocking up on Ferraro Rochers – but before I get all festive, let’s officially wrap up November by taking a look at all my bookish activity. A very mixed reading month, this month, some books I absolutely loved and some just weren’t to my liking – I guess you can’t love ’em all! I read a total of 16 books this month.

As we say goodbye to October and welcome November, it’s only right we look back over all the bookish activity that took place this month. This month has been full of bookish cheer – knowing I was on clinical placement this month, I aimed to read 12 books, I surpassed that, reading a total of 18 books! Let’s not waste words, I know you’re all just dying to know what my standout reads of the month were…
